Burke Veterinary Clinic opened its doors in 1979, just as the Burke community was beginning to develop. The Burke Veterinary Clinic team is committed to providing quality veterinary care throughout the life of your dog or cat. We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. The practice provides comprehensive medical care for dogs and cats. We stress preventive medicine but are fully prepared to diagnose and treat all manner of illnesses.
We take great pride in the fact that our clients have chosen us as one of the Washington D.C. area’s top veterinary facilities. There are several clinics that share this honor with us, but we have consistently been chosen since 1995. This is a distinction that we cherish and we thank our clients for helping us achieve this recognition.
We are also proud that our practice provides complete veterinary care at no charge, and significantly reduced the cost for puppies-in-training, for numerous organizations, including Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Guide Dog Foundation, Canine Companions for Independence, and Veterans Moving Forward. The doctors work closely with local wildlife rehabilitators, seeing orphaned and injured squirrels on a regular basis. The staff also provides pro bono orthopedic surgery for adoptable animals from several of the area’s animal shelters. The clinic participates in community service projects including volunteering for the Route One Corridor Housing Project, and the Lorton Community Action Center.
